Singapore has entered into government-to-government bilateral Co-Production Agreements with other countries.

Each film or programme approved under such agreements will be accorded Official Co-production Status and may be considered a "national" production in each of the participating countries, and be thusly regulated and incentivised.

As a member of ASEAN, Singapore works closely with the other ASEAN members to steer ASEAN’s media sector towards digitalisation and facilitate regional media collaborations. A few key ASEAN projects are managed by Singapore, through MDA.

Singapore and MDA have signed several Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) with government partners in the region and around the world—in China, France, Philippines, Australia, Korea, Italy, Thailand, Canada, and Japan.

Industry initiatives have been launched to spur more media collaborations between Singapore and her MOU partners. In addition, MDA also works with industry partners to co-develop initiatives to encourage international collaborations with Singapore.
